Kweku

Managing Director

Kweku is the Managing Director of Energy West GH Ltd. Prior to this, he was the Chief Financial Officer and a Board member of Standard Chartered Bank Ghana from September 2016 to September 2021. During the period, he was responsible for providing leadership and played a critical role in the delivery of financial controls and maintenance of high standards in finance and regulatory reporting in addition to tax risk management of the Bank.

Kweku has a strong finance, regulatory and audit background. He was the Financial Controller for Standard Chartered Bank from June 2009 till August 2015. Prior to this, Kweku held various positions including Regulatory Reporting Manager and Financial Controls Manager from the same bank. Before joining Standard Chartered Bank in 2005, Kweku
worked with the Banking Supervision Department of the Bank of Ghana for a period of eight (8) years as a Bank Examiner. Prior to that, he worked with Deloitte for a period of three (3) years from 1997. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and holds a BSc Administration (Accounting option) and an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School. He was the first and immediate past president of the CFOs Network of the Ghana Association of Bankers.

Naa

Manager, Legal and Compliance

Naa is the Manager, Legal and Compliance for Energy West GH Limited. Her career has been a blend of private and public sector legal practice spanning fiÆœeen (15) years specializing in Corporate and Commercial law practice.
Naa started her legal career as a State Attorney at the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General’s Department aƜer which she spent a couple of years with C&J Group as In-House Solicitor taking the lead in setting up their In-house Legal and Compliance department. Prior to joining CH Group, she spent seven (7) years working with the Legal team of Cirrus Oil Services Limited. Naa has been actively involved in compliance management, conducting of legal due diligence, draƜing, and reviewing of contracts, advising on joint ventures, share and asset sale agreements among others and was instrumental in advising on international and local business transactions. Naa holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Social Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST), a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, a Qualifying Certificate in Law/Barrister-at-law from the Ghana
School of Law and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law from the University of Ghana, Legon.

Yaw

HR Lead

Yaw serves as the HR Lead of Energy West GH Ltd. and is experienced in HR strategy, execution, stakeholder management and team leadership. Yaw has over a decade’s experience driving HR best practice, out of which six years has been with a single employer; one of Ghana’s leading banks. Experienced in both generalist and specialist advisory roles, Yaw has worked across the whole HR life cycle, including the creation of an HR team from scratch. He offers total dedication to performance excellence and is particularly adept at leading change management that optimizes the alignment of HR operations with an employer’s strategic objectives.
